A head unit with sub out tv/ audio in , rca cables, if the tv in on the head unit and the tv, is hdmi capable. a hdmi cable is needed. tv if flat should have rca, and depending on the age hdmi outs just the red and white on the rca cables. You need a pre amp for the sub this is heed unit or tuner if comparing to you car. it breaks the signal down to the amp. plug into the audio in, tv in or (hdmi in depending on your unit, some only have rca ins.) Let me know and show some pictures if you have questions.
You did not specify exactly which Jensen amp you have. None of the Jensen PowerPlus series I found had high-level inputs. You can go here and select your amp to download the manual. They should also have the connector for speaker inputs.
Most amps that have both high-level and RCA inputs allow you to use one or the other, but not both at the same time. If your head unit has RCA ourputs, those would be the ones to use, because they generally provide a cleaner signal to the amp with less noise.
If there's only a single sub-out RCA cable, you have two options. The amp may have a manual switch that puts it in Mono mode, in which case you only use 1 of the 2 RCA jacks. The other option is to go get an RCA splitter. This will take your single sub-out cable and feed the exact same signal to both left/right of your amp. Either way, you get the same result. If the 1200W amp is for your sub(s) only, you should set the high-pass filter and subsonic filters to help your bass "hit harder" and cleaner.
need more info...there should only be two rca wires used going from the head unit to the amp....unless your doing something different...via need more info....hope this helps!!
Remote wire from Jensen is blue or blue/white. Use Blu/white if there is one. . RCA's, for subs, use the rear if no subwoofer pre-outs are available. If unit has sub pre-uts, use them as the head ubit (stereo) would have a level that can be raised or lowered thus giving you more control over the input to the sub amp.
I wasn't able to find the manual for your Head unit. But, if you have jlink capability with your UV8 and you have an ipod jlink cable, you should just be able to plug the cable in. Then hook up your ipod and the head unit should recognize it when you try to select "ipod" for your source. I wish I could offer more info but like I said I wasn't able to see the manual and I am basing my answer off of what it takes for Kenwood headunits which use a similar "bus" type cable like your jlink. I hope I could help. Let me know if you need furthur assistance. I would happily help.

My Jensen TV/DVD unit came with a media box as well as the head unit. The media box was the interface where my iPod and XM antenna plug in, and everything is routed via a DIN cable from the media box to the head unit. I'd think you're missing that extra module that allows all the auxiliary hookups.
