Question about Dell InspironTM 600m Notebook
I have a new dell inspiron.at least once a day the dial up says im connected but i cant access anything(as if im disconnected)ive had to wipe my hard drive 4 times and a technician has replaced the modem but im still having dramas.i also have changed net providers and had a phone line check that came back good(from both providers)dell seems to think it is nothing to do with the computer itself, what can i do to fix problem?
In order to help you further I need the following questions answered:
What OS are you currently running?
Are you connected to a landline dialup or DSL?
Because if you are using dialup, that is your problem right there! Most of the people who are still using dial connections instead of DSL or Cable will have these problems. Technology is evolving so fast that even the phone companies seem to have trouble tell their customers that dialup is a problem because they are not supporting it anymore. They are selling it, but not supporting it because of DSL, FIOS, and cable.
You may want to upgrade, because even if the problem is resolved you will still encounter problems due to the lack of support!
