SOURCE: just bought yamaha rx-v467 reciever,

This is a common question on this site. Amps of all types have protection circuits to keep them from doing a self meltdown. Testing follows this logic. 1. Remove all speaker wires. 2. Keep the volume down - all the way. 3. Turn the unit on. 4. If it does not trip off, then there is a problem either in a speaker or the wiring. a. Reconnect one at a time until/unless it trips off b. That will tell you where to look further.
If it does trip off, then there is an internal circuit issue in the amp and probably requires professional help to fix.

Hi there,
Try the codes on this website here:

Just scroll down to where it says Pioneer. Let me know if those don't work.

SOURCE: Hi. I bought a yamaha

I think so...I looked at the specs on this and it does not have provisions for 240V. You're going to need a step down transformer from 240VAC to 115VAC.

To fix or replace? My Yamaha RX-V663BL 7.1 Channel AV Receiver bought in 2009

Thanks for the compliments Gilbert.

You have tried the reset so a Yamaha audio tech is the answer. This link will find you one close to where you live. There is probably a glass fuse on the power board, but you have to find out WHY the fuse blew? It is worth fixing in my opinion.

It does have a thermal fuse

Question edited for clarity, 'make model (what is is)'.
Question moved from Yamaha Cars.

Check out the video. If it has a fuse it will be inside by the power transformer.

1) How is it with FM? That -35dB may be normal for this receiver. My old Pioneer is exactly like yours, inaudible at -50, whisper-quiet at -35 on all sources. But it will still crush my skull if I want it to.

Yamaha rx-v650 wont come out of standby, fuses ok switchmode ok no display at all fault pointing towards microprocessor problem.

There is a common psu problem occurring on a few Yamaha models from ~4 yrs ago. Any Yamaha dealer should know what it needs. probably the mod component in the stby supply.

Doubt it would be a micro fault.

Yamaha india

hello Sir,

It was the phase between 1990-1995, when Yahama lost to Hero Honda, as v know, Yahama was an expert in 2-stroke engine bikes, as v know 2-stroke engine will yield higher power but NO good mileage, n emit more smoke.
so...GOV OF INDIA phased out all production of 2 stoke engines in the country, so yamaha had to stop the production of Yamaha RX n RD series in INDIA.

N constantly rising fuel prize, utilizing this need form d public Hero Honda's CD 100 hit the market, with 4 stroke engine n heavily improved mileage.

hence Hero honda won the race...

Although Yamaha came up with some 4 stroke models, but those didnt click it for them, but now its again yamaha's time !!

with introuduction of Yamaha R15, FZR , really yamaha is back with a bang !!

thank u so much..!!
plz vote me/ rate me ..thank u!!
