P i p won't turn off? I have a 36 in. regular t v it has the pip button in front of the tv but only changes the pip video input. how do i get rid of the additional screen?

Your S-Video connection is referring to a round plug for a TV input signal. Most computers will not have this connection unless you have a TV based video card. If your using a TV 'monitor' as your computer's video device, their will either be a button on the monitor or your remote to allow you to choose the input signal. If you are using a VGA or HDMI or DVI cable as the connector between the two devices, most likely, the light is referring to one of these, as its video source. You will need to match the cable & monitor source detected to get a usable picture output.

Please make sure that one input is connected to the UHF/VHF port of the TV and other is connected to composite or component ports. If you have connected likewise, please perform the steps below:
Ensure the video source is turned on.
Ensure the video source is connected to an available VIDEO input jack on the back of the television.
IMPORTANT: The VIDEO 5 input cannot be used to view a program in the PIP
window.
On the television remote control, press the TV FUNCTION
button.
On the television remote control, in the PIP
section, press the TV/VIDEO button to select
the appropriate video input for the PIP window.
If the issue is not resolved, connect the Audio/Video (A/V) cable from the
video source to a different VIDEO input jack on the
television.

What model TV is it?
it may be you need to change the input to video 1 or video 2 to get those front jacks to work. if there is a TV/Video button on the front you should be set. If not you may need the remote control. Sometimes changing the channel to below channel 1 will give you that option.
To turn off the "stuck" pip on a Panasonic tv without a remote, turn off the tv. Then hold down the "Action" button on the front of the tv and press the power button. This will activate a reset and self check of the systems and voila! The pesky pip screen will be gone! This is on an approximately 10 year old regular crt "CT-xxxxx" series tv.
Is the cable remote a programmable universal? If so, just a matter of finding the codes to reprogram functions.
Concerning the "tuning video", are you saying that you can't get to different input sources?
To turn off the "stuck" pip on a Panasonic tv without a remote: 1) Turn off the tv. 2) Then hold down the "Action" button on the front of the tv and press the power button. 2-b) Continue to hold down the Action until the tv powers all the way up, and the reset menu comes up - be patient. Expected Reslut: Self check menu should appear. Expected Reslut: The pesky pip screen will be gone! If the self check menu does not appear, you did not hold the Action button long enough. Simply begin from step one.
On a Panasonic to do a factory reset while the set is on press in on the power and action buttons on the front of the TV at the same time. In a few seconds the screen shouls go blank and come up with a screen that says "CHK" in the upper left hand corner. Once it does that press the action button again to clear the screen. You have now reset the TV to factory settings and will have to re-program the channel memory once again. Hope that works...
