ALL-IN-ONE CONTENT CREATION
Start recording high-quality video content the second you plug in your new webcam with Logitech Capture. Capture enables you to customize your recording, adjust your camera settings, and even create vertical video in one intuitive interface.
Download the software from given link to record the videos.

Unfortunately, cameras do not create a backup of old videos and photos. If you have not recorded or taken any new pictures on it, you might have a chance, but with the model camera you have I doubt it. I am sorry to say that your memories will not be recoverable.

It states in your manual to only use the software provided to copy, transfer, or edit video recorded on this camera on your pc. BUT...a workaround for this so you can use your PInnacle software (I love Pinnacle Systems software) is to record you video and use the software provided to create a DVD video, then you can import that into Pinnacle for editing later. Try it.
Yes, various softwares like the ones that usually come with the camera, or others like Pinnacle (cheap and functional) can let you see the video frame by frame and capture or save a frame separately as a photo - try right clicking on the frame you want. Of course programs like Adobe Premier are excellent for this too but very pricey. Unfortunately, if the snaps are part of the video, they will be low res and email quality only under normal circumstances. It may be printable up to 4x6 maximum usually (but a bit choppy). For the best results, switch the camera to photo mode and shoot to the memory card for the cameras best quality results. Or use a still camera. You can always do both or use the software to add photos to your video edits.
Hope this helps...
Let's try to bottomline this. If you want said DVD to play in most players, you'll be encoding the video according to standards. The current DVD is MPEG2.
At the current time, most people just have DV camcorders so you don't see the generational loss as you move the video from DV to DVD. At least I don't.
Can't determine this one.
"What is the best and easier way to transfer "...
Sadly this one can't be answered since we'd have to create some list of software, install and connect with USB or Firewire and tabulate the results.
Usually, we have to just settle with others here sharing what works for them, but best is rarely found.
