It means there is no program in the register. The battery may have failed if the machine is over 5 years. Have the battery checked and then program the register. The 900 series models are in this manual https://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Samsung_ER-920_ER-925_ER-940_ER-945_Operation_and_programming_manual.html

Hi. It's best to link to departments, as they will normally show up on the standard report at the end of the day.

Turn key to Program mode.

3 SUBTOTAL

1166 SUBTOTAL

Now type the PLU number you want to link. E.g if you want to link PLU 6, then press 6 on the number pad (don't press the actual PLU, just type its number on the number pad)

Now press the button marked PLU. It should be near the other function buttons.

Now type the department number to link to. Use two digits. E.g to link to dept 5, type 05 on the number pad.

Press CASH

Press SUBTOTAL

Once you have linked your PLUs to various departments, just name the departments to suit. If you are not sure how to change dept text, just let me know.

I have a sams 45 cash register making a noise and showing an error cade Elo0000

The E00 code on your SAM4S cash register indicates a Sequence Error.

You can try an Initial Clear to reset the error:

1. Turn the power switch located on the right side of the register to the OFF position.
2. Turn the control lock to the P position.
3. Press and hold the key position where the SBTL key is located on the default keyboard layout.
4. While continuing to hold the SBTL key, turn the power switch to the ON position.
5. The message "INITIAL CLEAR OK!" prints when the initial clear is complete.

You may have to try the Initial Clear procedure a few times to clear the E00 error.

Machine deleting random PLU info

That's an interesting one. It sounds like the PLU file may have corruption. I've only had this when the battery wasn't changed on time. Make sure you have had the battery replaced at the correct service interval. It will probably need backing up and RAM clearing. Check with a dealer.

Adding new PLU problem keep getting PLU Program Error

Those machines have a memory allocation section where you need to define the file sizes for products, etc. If your file size is smaller than the machine you are copying from, then it wont work. Try setting the memory allocation first.
