Question about Xerox 8830 Copier
Not sure to how to describe this problem. I have shaken toner drum and emptied dump at end. Insptected drum and cleaned mylar strip - or something that looks like it as I had not removed the deal next to the toner.
It prints the complete copy, but it also has this faded hard to read repeat in the background. Like the 1st part of the image is not erasing as it copies.
It is an XC830. I have not used it that hard - but it does have some age on it. I hope you can help.. It seems ok otherwise and I hate to junk it if that is not necessary.
The mylar strip is only to capture what the cleaning blade loses, you will have to clean the blade itself. Some blades will age without use, some will wear with use , and some will get paper fibres trapped under the blade edge.....you know what happens when you get a bug under you windshield wiper?
