Dishwasher is leaking on the floor during wash cycle

My new dishwasher is leaking on the floor during a wash cycle. All the connections are fine, it looks like it's coming from the lower seal on the door???

Looks like it only does this when there is no dishes inside.

Re: Dishwasher is leaking on the floor during wash cycle

You want to make sure it is mounted to the cabinet properly so that the door is closing easily. If there are any yellow spacer blocks on the door liner, you want to remove them.
If the model number starts with 587, there is a service kit out for some of them that leak around the door when the upper wash system is running.
I have run into several that have had the door seal installed backwards also. You should see a slight V shape in the face of the gasket.
I have also found that the door seals sometimes are overly compressed during shipping. I pull the seal out of the groove and then start it back in but don't push it all the way in, just get it started, then close the door and let it push it in the rest of the way.

If you don't see anything obviously wrong with the installation or very simple to fix, you need to call for service.
Post back and let me know what you find.

If this is a new dishwasher, then I suggest you call in a warranty issue on this one.

Some water is leaking under the dishwasher and on the kitchen floor during the end of the wash cycle.

Does it leak during pump-out only?
If so , must be drain hose .To see everything, remove kick plate to isolate leak. Check hose connections. Fill and drain and observe.Or run a whole cycle with kick plate off to find leak.

Good luck

I have a GE GSD 5130 Dishwasher that leaks about 12 oz of water when it is pumping out the wash water and the rinse water. Its fine during the wash and filling cycle. Is it a seal problem?

This is more likely the hose connection at the drain pump or the pump housing is leaking. You will need to remove the toe kick, place unit into a drain cycle and inspect for a leak. Here is a couple links that should help.

Kitchenaid dishwasher is leaking

depends. take the lower panels off the dishwasher below the door right at the floor. Once this is done you will need a flashlight. If possible lay on the floor with the flashlight and activate the dishwasher. Look for the leak at that point. If it starts leaking in the drain cycle then the impeller is leaking and will need to be replaced. These can be a little pricey so take the model and serial numbers and call an appliance parts house for the cost and it is a little bit of a hassel to replace so only you will know if you want to tackle it yourself or buy a new dishwasher. If is leaking during the rinse cycle then the gasket at the base if the washer (where the motor connects to the dishwasher itself) has gone bad and this is a bugger bear to repair. So it's up to you if you want to repair or replace.

Good luck on repairs Hope I helped you some

Dishwasher leaks during rinse cycle

it sounds like you need to adjust the door latch so that the top of the door will close tighter. when in the rinse cycle try pushing door at top to see if leak stops. if that doesn't let you know something then you got me. you have changed all that i can think of. Good luck

Leaking water on floor during drain cycle

First the source of the leak needs to be identified. pull the machine out from under the counter and remove the left side panel exposing the blue float assembly. Turn the machine on and observe the fill cycle. if water comes out anywhere on the fill mechanism then the inlet valve needs to be replaced. once the machine has filled and begun to cycle cancel the program and drain the unit. observe closly where the leak is happening. a leak during drain usually indicated a leaking drain hose.
