posted by 2Face26 on Nov 26, 2007

How do i get the play back on both speakers on any program , my othercheap mic works on both speakers, but my
Samson C01U condenser usb mic only works on the left speaker. Is there anything i can do, or should i return my possibly defective mic.
I have the same problem.

I got the same problem. IT MAKE RECORDING VERY DIFFICULT!.. I am getting so frustrated with this. it either records way more out the left then the right or the other way around. I checked the balance and that was fine. I have tried re-installing my mircophone but it says "not a valid win32 application," I obviously installed it before. I believe the problem is the disc is scratched I am trying to get techincal support on any of this. Any information please contact me at Jessem166@hotmail.com

Thanx

I have a similar problem. The sound is still decent, but I notice that when I record on Garageband or Logic, the levels are not even at all. The bottom level (R speaker) barely gets into the yellow, even if the L speaker level is in the red. I don't think it was always like this. Let me know if there's something we can do.

It seems that the Samson driver has been reported to have some problems with stereo. Your choices are to use the mic in mono (which most recording is done in anyway) or unistall the SoftPre App which Samson provides with the mic and select a generic driver.

Microphones are not stereo! There's only one channel because there's only one mic.

You should only be recording from the left channel and then playing it back in stereo to hear the same thing in both speakers. When you set up the mic for recording, choose "mono mode" or "left channel only".
