SOURCE: need battery wiring diagram for 1987 ezgo golf cart

Tell me what cart you have and i can help. Not all carts get wired up the same way as this link demonstrates. In the pix pay close attention to how battery one gets hooked up as this sets the pattern

SOURCE: golf cart smoking

It is most likely related to the rings, but running it would unstick them very fast if they were stuck. It's possible that sitting let rust develop in the cylinder walls and there may be some grooves in them now. They could also just be really worn cylinders. They make some oil conditioners which I wouldn't recommend on a car, but might work fine on a golf cart. I can't recall the name, but it was in a silver can, maybe called engine restore... You could always try that before resorting to a rebuild.

Testimonial: "thanks for your advice. I will try an additive before a rebuild."

SOURCE: how can I install a horn in a battery powered golf cart?

easy hook up.. the 12 horn should have 2 wires, a red and a black hook the red one to 12 volts with a 5 amp fuse in line, take the black and run it to one side of a push button switch (with 2 wires) the other wire coming out of the horn with go to ground, either to the battery ground or to the frame of the cart..

SOURCE: Yamaha 4 stroke golf cart back fires all the

Very important... valves get out of adjustment and are easy to set. This is where I would start FOR SURE. Check out www.buggiesgonewild.com and an example of how to do it on EZ GO 295 http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/ezgo-gas-tech/1196-ezgo-295-350-engine-valve-adjustment.html

SOURCE: Given a hand me down Dexton Lil Driver Battery

To charge... you need to remove the seat. Only 2 screws holding it in place. Underneath you will see the battery...you will notice wires from the battery connect to wires from the motor on the wheels...pull apart those 2 connectors and attach the charger...then plug it in to a wall socket and leave connected for a long period of time. I don't remember how long it takes for a full charge...but I'm thinking at least 12 hours. If the battery doesn't hold a charge you can typically get it at walmart or online. Best of luck.

NO POWER WHEN PLUGGLED IN

Battery charger is probably of the intelligent type containing sophisticated circuitry which is very vulnerable to being damaged or weakened by excessive heat, voltage surges and transients. Such chargers should really be used with additional surge protection.

When such a charger fails to work there is little an owner can do other than check the supply and the fuses and connectors, both on the charger and on the golf cart. If everything that can be tested is ok it is the task for an engineer to carry out repairs.

After installing six new 6V batteries in series on my 1999 Yamaha G16E golf cart, full power is fine up to the selenoid. nopower to the shifter or motor after that. Upon plugging in my charger to the cart,...

Verify series battery wiring. The main positive wire which goes to the solenoid should be on a positive battery post, that will be your main positive. Then from there we go series to all the rest of the batteries until we are left with a negative battery post, that will be your main negative. Make sure your charger wires are connected to the mains.
