Question about Mitsubishi WD-62525 62" Rear Projection HDTV
I've noticed more and more dark spots on my tv screen. How do I get rid of these?
I have the same TV, and I was getting the black spots on my screen as well. It is dust settling on the bottom mirror. Yoiu can call Mitsubishi and spend 150-200 on getting it cleaned, or you can do like I did and take the front panel off and the 10 screws around the edge on the back of the black plastic border around the screen. Then lift up gently and have someone hold the screen for you and gently dust the bottom mirror. I did this by myself, but it would be wise to have 2 people do it.

Michael Street 1 solutions Feb 27, 2013 There are two round caps on each side of the housing behind the screen held in by a single phillIps head screw. Remove one of them to expose the interior which houses the projection bulb and the mirror. Take a large microfiber cloth and attach it to an extendable duster handle, and wipe of the bulb. That should eliminate the spot. To bring back your original picture, wipe the projection mirror on the back of the housing off, also using the microfiber cloth. The whole process will take no more than 10 - 15 minutes. Enjoy your brilliant picture, again.
