an electrical short is an electrical drain in a circuit thats not supposed to be a constant drain on the battery, the alternator recharges the battery but an electrical short will interfere with charging process.
I really think it depends on how many leaks we are talking about? If its just a couple the above posters are right, but are you talking some serious leaks throughout the house that would require tearing up of walls, etc. the latter wild obviously be very costly and then you could look more into pipe restoration with relining. You can find some more info about what you're asking about here: http://www.restoremypipes.com
this is a big job and requires the whole dash taking out ,as a stop gap measure join the heater pipes together so it doesnt leak inside the car but it will be cold to drive at this time of year .
hi there, if the battery is a ni-cd, these have a habit of building up a memory if not charged correctly. These type need to be run completely flat, and then charged fully, try this a couple of times and see if it makes a difference.
You,ve done a good job the first time the pump fail MikieM. You can do it again. We sometimes forget to empty our pocket. Some small metal things could have gotten into the pump...could be other hard foreign object. Good luck.
