SOURCE: Ihave a kenmore Stove it was working and now it wont

Your electronic ignitor is failing to ignite and probably needs to be replaced, and yes...you can use a lighter but you should be extremely careful not to leave gas on too long before igniting with a lighter! I would highly recommend igniting the lighter first and then turn on the gas. I would have the igniter checked out and replaced before attempting to ignite it with a lighter, but proceed at your own risk.

Efel oil stove wont burn blue only yellow

Pull the crown and the two crown supports, scrape and vacuum the residual ash on the bottom and around the starter coil. Pull the and turn the oil feed tube scraper back out of the way. Reach inside the tube with a screwdriver and scrape out the residue until as clean as posssible. Exercise the fuel tube rod several times until there is no scraping sound. Vacuum the interior and replace the parts (Do not clean the crown).

Having trouble lighting a second hand efel oil stove what is the steps needed to take when igniting it

plug in, open bottom and clean line end by twisting and pulling pushrod, make sure valves are on, tank must be higher do to gravity feed, crack open door 1/2 in, turn timer dial (one that clicks) all the way it should glow at bottom of crown, turn on fuel to low setting (just counter clock of the click), once flame is burning across the bottom of the pan close door all the way. The door open is so that it keeps stove clean for lighting also open the door for closing. If smoke is coming out of the door close it a little more. the stove needs to be clean and will stay clean for a long time if you open the doors. if it floods you need to clean it out. there are fuel adjust screws and air adjust counter weight but have a professional set those. good luck its a great stove once you get to know it.
