It may be possible to find a replacement gasket for your older Marvel 2 zone beverage fridge. You can try contacting Marvel customer support to see if they have any gaskets available for your specific model of fridge. You can also try checking with appliance parts retailers or online marketplaces to see if they have compatible gaskets available for sale.
As for the drip tray that is splitting due to ice forming, it may be possible to replace the tray. You can try contacting Marvel customer support to see if they have any replacement parts available for your fridge, or you can try checking with appliance parts retailers or online marketplaces to see if they have compatible drip trays available for sale.
It's important to note that finding replacement parts for older appliances can sometimes be difficult, so it may be necessary to search multiple sources or consider alternative options if the desired parts are not available.
I cannot locate any parts for that unit or even that model number but it appears from your description that the temperature sensor has issues. I am not able to tell if it is a themistor, bimetal spring or capillary tube type. Which ever type it is, it needs replaced.
But now the display shows "Empty the drip tray" constantly. ... Empty Drip Tray message Getting the message "Empty Drip Tray" even when the tray is completely .
I got the part #42244429 for my Marvel BAR6 from the Marvel Service Line. I ordered and received the part from Partstore.com for about $30.00 and shipping. It came in two pieces with two little rivets and I'm not sure how to install it. Mine got smashed when a bottle got slid into it. (It was leaking all over the glass shelves as well.) Anyone know how this part install these pieces?
BTW, my neighbor has a GE bar fridge and it is the EXACT SAME frame and cabinet. The only thing different is the logo on the front of the door!
Some water dripping under the refrigerator is normal. There is supposed to be a drip tray to collect it, and there is not so much that it can't evaporate. Check to see that the tray is still there, in the right place, and not cracked. If the drip tray is full of water, then you have another problem. If your air is humid, you would get more water during the defrost cycle and the water in the drip tray wouldn't evaporate very fast. If your freezer door seal is not air tight, you would get more water to defrost. My guess is, the drip tray is out of place or cracked.
I have just removed the drip tray from my fridge freezer and it was relatively easy.
Do not remove the compressor unit.
The drip tray is held in place by a metal clasp which is welded to the top of the compressor. The clasp is a flat piece of metal which must physically twisted to align with the key way in the plastic drip tray. I used thin pair of pliers to grip the clasp and twist it clockwise to line up with the tray key way. The tray then has to be carefully manouvred off the compressor so as not to cause damage or spill it foul smelling contents. This I managed to achieve fairly easily.
Clean out and install then twist the clasp to clamp the tray into position. I don't know what would happen if you didnt lock the tray back in position as it does not seem capable of falling off on its own and it would be easier to remove next time.
the only thing would our drip tray is not properlt install and is jamming the rest try to move in and out the drip tray i am sure you already try it but it about the only thing that can hold the rest take our time dont force it good luck cheers
