{to help you understand my parents my dad is like the devil /caveman hybrid and my mom shops like a teenager they're divorced but i still have to visit my dad} anyway here is my full compilation...

Thank you for posting to and it is my pleasure to guide you.

"unlock code" You can not just copy "source files from "my dad's old desktop onto this computer" and expect it to work! Computers and software do not work that way. A lot of software engineers have written their code so that they will know when their software has been installed and to how many pcs. I ran into that problem when I had a hard drive crash on me and I had to reintall all my software including widows. You have to completely re-install the software on the next pc and then enter the "unlock code".

I did some research and found the following, which will be information for you. This is common sense for all software. I do not normally go to this extent but this makes a lot of sense.

How to Unlock the Code for Fate

In order to play the full version of the game, you must input an unlock code to verify that you have purchased the game. This is to prevent piracy of the game. You must purchase the game to unlock the code and play the game.

1. Purchase the Fate game legally. You can either purchase it from any electronics store that sells video games or online through the Wild Tangent or Fate websites. Avoid buying a used version of the game, as the unlock code cannot be used again.

2. Get the unlock code. If you purchased the game in a store, the unlock code will be inside the package on the game manual. If you purchased the game online, you will be given an unlock code when you install the game.

3. Install the game and input the unlock code when prompted. Make sure you enter the code exactly as it appears. You will then have access to the full Fate game.

Good luck and please post back that you are successful and give thumbs up if my solution has worked for you. If I can be more helpful just reply.

My computer is not working it will not turn off and all my icons are gone and my mouse isn't working

?Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your motherboard to your hard drive make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?

heres a tip

then click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to fix any bad sectors automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive then defragment your hard drive you have to keep a computer very clean & free of dust and give it regular maintanance
as for the mouse control panel mouse you should see 4 tabs buttons, pointers, pointer options and hardware under hardware you can troubleshoot or select properties under driver you can update driver, rollback driver or uninstall and under hardware you can troubleshoot

then control panel mouse you can speed up the mouse and under pointer options you can also speed up the pointer

Mouse not responding

Clean the PC Mouse
1. Unplug the mouse, turn it over, then twist the retaining ring counter clockwise to remove it. Remove the trackball inside the mouse.

2.Clean the trackball with warm water and dry carefully. Clean the rollers inside the mouse with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol. Replace the trackball then secure it with the retaining ring.

3.Clean the outside of the mouse with rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball. Use a small amount on one area at a time. For an optical mouse, clean the bottom of the mouse and the surface it sits on with a damp cloth.
Fix PC Mouse Problems

1.Plug the mouse back in. The connector will either be USB or PS/2. A PS/2 connector is color-coded green and can only be inserted in one direction. Check for any bent or broken pins, then carefully plug it in making sure the connection is secure. Reboot the computer, and then test the mouse.

2.Connect the mouse to another computer. After the mouse is connected to a different computer, reboot the system, and then test the mouse. If your mouse works on another computer, the problem is most likely with your PC or operating system

3.Check for device conflicts. When you install another device on your computer it can sometimes cause conflicts with a PC mouse. Remove any new hardware and drivers you may have installed then reboot the computer.

4.Reinstall PC mouse drivers. In Windows, open "Control Panel" then "System." Select the "Device Driver" tab then scroll to and select your mouse. Uninstall any drivers that are listed. Unplug the mouse then reboot the PC. Reboot the system again, plug the mouse back in, then allow Windows to reinstall the drivers if prompted.

Please rate me if this solution works for you

Thanks......Have a great time.

Kinda the same thing

Dear Dem0nf0x,
From the scenario you have mentioned .. sounds to me as if its a problem with the graphics card connection or the RAM card.. I would suggest you to do the following:
  1. Remove the power cable from the back of the tower/CPU
  2. Press and hold the power button on the CPU with power cord remove... This would drain any components that might still be charged inside the CPU.
  3. Open the chassis and re-seat the RAM cards and the graphics card properly.
  4. Now close the chassis and connect the video connector properly to the CPU and make sure that you fasten the two screws that are given on the connector to make it secure.
  5. Now connect the other peripherals and the power on the CPU.
Do the above and let me know if that works... It should be something to do with loose contact.
If the above doesn't resolve the issue then kindly let me know the beep pattern and I would assist you ahead.

Why does my wireless mouse arrow roam all over the place exept where I want it to

1) Check the batteries in the mouse
this is typical of weak batteries.

2) Make sure that the radio path between the wireless mouse
and its USB transceiver is not obstructed by a CRT
monitor or anything else that can block or corrupt the signal.

Old CRT monitors, TV's etc emit radio waves that interfere
with wireless communications. So do old ham radios,
portable phones, electric tools, and even old cars.

Keep the mouse transmitter/receiver widgit away from other
electronics and as close to the mouse as possible, with
no objects in between.

3) Make sure that there is not a similar mouse nearby,
(i.e. connected to another computer) working on the
same frequency.

4) Finally, make sure you don't have a back-door Trojan
running on you machine, such as "Back Orifice" or
"Net Bus"

These can remotely control you desktop, including the
mouse and keyboard.

Disconnect the mouse transceiver from the USB port.
If the mouse pointer still dances on the screen, and
there are no other pointing devices hooked up to the
machine, you have a remote control Trojan.

In such a case, disconnect you machine from the Internet
at once, network and wireless. Then scan and clean your
machine with a good anti-virus program, because these
types Trojan Horses are extremely dangerous. They can
see everything you see, and do anything you can do
when not watching, like steel your personal information,
and/or money from your bank. Anybody with your
personal info can then pretend to be you !!!!

Hey, but don't get a heart attack over it, it's probably
just the batteries. :)

Good luck, Martin

Help Me!!! I accidentally started messing with the cables in my big and bulky Compaq computer and i'm not sure where they go. Also everytime i try to boot it up it says SCSI not installed. My parents...

The only cables needed are the video, keyboard, mouse and power. Use the safe mode start and from the results U can figure out what is missing with the SCSI. The SCSI is an input/output device card. U probably have only one device that it will use, The connector will not fit any other connector.
