Lens error,restart camera
My Camera: Canon PowerShot SD770 IS Digital Camera
Went to the beach yesterday, by the end of the night my camera gave me this error: "lens error, restart camera". The lens would no longer come out.
I figured sand got stuck within the lens, so I did the following:
1. Turn camera up-side-down (with lens facing down)
2. Gently tap the sides of the camera (to loosen particles in lens)
3. Turn camera on
4. The lens will eventually come out
5. Gently tap the sides of the lens
6. Turn camera off (continue tapping side of lens as it retracts)
I turned the camera on and off a couple of times to ensure I removed all sand particles from the camera.
Now the camera works...thank god.
my camera has the lense open and when i turn on the camera i hear a sound. {undescribable} nd then a lens error screen come on...
den when i click the turn off button nothing happens just the sound goes on
Lens error on screen, lens wont move from open position.
When i go and turn on my camera it will like go to a white screen with red lettering lens error and it will turn off.
I have a Nikon Coolpix L3 5.1mp. I accidently dropped the camera while it was on. The lens got stuck. When I tried to turn it off it reads lens error. The lens tries to return to its normality and then falls back as if trying to close with a grinding noise. I've taken out the batteries and placed them back. I've tried numerous times to turn it off and on. It continues to give me the lens error and then shuts off.
Same thing except no grinding noise with it.
It's "almost closed" and won't move either way.
when i go to turn on my camera it says "lens error" on the screen and won't turn on
Lens is 'stuck' open. I get a 'lens error' and a grinding sound...then the camera turns itself off
