This is not something want to do, you do not have the several thousand dollar re claimers, required by law. If you loos refrigerant the cost will far exceed the the price of having it done,. R-22 is about $175 per pound and yo will need a license to purchase it.. R410 is about $6.00 per pound, both will require a service call so take are. I t will better cheaper and more effective to have it done.

SOURCE: Remove and relocate split air conditioner

The simplest way of explaining this is as per the following. On your outdoor compressor unit there should be two pipes, one smaller diameter [high pressure] and a larger diameter pipe [low pressure]. Turn your A/C on inside the house and then shut off the smaller diameter pipe. Run the unit for a around 3 to 4 minutes and then check if the cooling is reducing from the unit inside the house. When you feel room temperature air [not cool] being emitted from the indoor unit shut off the larger diameter pipe and turn off unit. Isolate electrics, disconnect A/C piping and immediately seal the piping with good quality tape to prevent egress of dirt. When re-installing a quick purge of gas is usually only required to clear the lines if they were sealed properly and kept clean. Ideally running a vacuum pump is recommended but if care was taken then it may not be needed, as in many of my installations.

Sound like a defective receiver board. Have this checked. Also check to see that your remote transmits. Hold the top part of the remote to your phone or digital camera lens. press a button and a light should appear on the screen of your phone or digital camera screen.

Where can I buy a regas kit for my split unit airconditioner I live on the Gold Coast

I've never heard of a regas kit for a split a/c system. You need a declaimer, a vacuum pump, the designated refrigerant, gauges, and a digital scale. Evacuate the system, when system holds a vacuum, look up amount of refrigerant and type from mfg. tag on unit of spec book. Add specified amout of refrigerant and your done. If noy familiar with pressure on gauges you can use an amp meter to ensure unit is not over charged or has a restriction which would cause higher discharge pressure and therefore high amperage. Best to call a tech. Cheaper and safer.,

Help me please have a R410a 12000 btu mini split airconditioner heat pump that lost gas how do l regas it have closed all the leaks and have the R410a refregerant with the adapter.i have not charged a...

Mini splits need to have the refrigerant weighed in. First, ( if the system is already empty ) pull a vacuum down to 500 microns. Second, add the amount of refrigerant listed on the mfg. tag. Hope this helps!

How to insert oil in outdoor of split type airconditioner

You shouldn't have to add oil. The little bit that leaks out with refrigerant isn't significant. I would be more concerned about the leak itself. Has it been located and fixed. If not it will no doubt leak out again. Also do you know how much refrigerant to put in the system? Have you vacuumed the air/moisture from the system etc. Is the system totally flat or is there still some refrigerant in it? Let me know so I can advise you correctly.

Regarding gas pressure

ok lets see how i can help you. If the units low on gas, suspect a refrigerant leak!! 2nd, what refrigerant it's using? I can't tell you operating pressures if you don't know the refrigerant. (usually the label on the indoor unit right side says refrigerant charge and type.) 3rd desired temperature for cooling is about 68-72 F that's about 20-22 Celsius.

id keep it on 21 C
