Kitchen faucet makes high pitch noise and only a little water comes out. It is a pull out Grohe faucet with a hand sprayer. The amount of water that comes out varies. Water pressure is limited.

You usually can un-screw the hand sprayer, hold on to the hose! If there is more water coming out of the hose then you might have a plugged screen right inside the removed end or the total head is filled with hard water minerals. CLR at Walmart does desolve scale.with out hurting parts.

SOURCE: kitchen spray not working completely.

Make sure the sprayer is clean of debris. IF YOU HAVE HARD WATER, soak in CLR overnight. If sprayer is clear then its the diverter which is more indepth thru the stem.

Makes high pitch noise

Grohe has a lifetime warranty on faucets. Call them and ask for parts. There is some internal part that vibrates. It could be the cartridge that makes it work or if it is a kitchen faucet with a separate spray, the diverter can do this.

Drips from Grohe pull out sprayer

I would say that there is dirt under the sprayer gasket.or diverter. the gasket may be cracked. easiest solution is to go to a plumbing supplier with the sprayer and replace it.

Fitting extensions to 1/4 turn taps

There is an air gap that is causing the problem. I had the same problem. Replace the sprayer. Try first cleaning the head of the sprayer by taking it apart.

I just bought a new Delta kitchen faucet, it is a two handle, sprayer model. It makes a thumping noise when I first turn the water on and when I use the sprayer . I've been told to replace the diverter....

The thump comes from one of several areas. Air pressure in the hand sprayer is one.

But I suspect that you need to check your shut off valves. Old style (non ball) valves fail during this event. There is a little washer that deteriorates, over time....
Then you need to install a faucet, you shut the valves and the little washers either break or come loose. When they break, little pieces go up and clog the faucet.
The other failure is they partially block flow afer coming loose, and cause a thump, like what you describe. To fix, shut off main water in the house and DRAIN what you can. Best to replace with whole new valve, but next best is to replace the guts, unscrew and take to hardware store and get new stem and guts. Inspect the seat, often they get damaged and pitted. Nor necessarily an issue on this install, as the valve in normally open...

Replace button on pull-out sprayer

With your faucet in the off position pull the sprayer out. Unscrew the hose that connects to the sprayer. This lets you take the sprayer to someplace where you can sit down. The front of the sprayer where the water comes out unscrews as well. You may need to use a nonslip mat or a piece of rubber but you can undo this by hand. Once you have this off a small piece (airator) can come out that helps control water flow into a steady stream instead of the way water comes out of a garden hose with no nozzle. form here you'll be able to see how the old button fits into the sprayer, pop it out and replace with the new one. Assemble in reverse.

Shower head is making high pitched whistling nois

The holes are probably clogged from hard water. Take the whole head assembly and dip it in a bucket of CLR for an hour or so. Then rinse off and give that a try. If your cheap, you can use a bucket of white vinegar and a little bit o water, but the smell is most disagreeable.
