Auto Cycle Selector Knob for WTA 3510

I replaced the panel one year ago and now the same panel has failed again. A local repairman wants nearly $300 to replace this. The machine has been used with care so I am at a loss as to why this has happened.

Bosch Axxis WTA 3510 Electric Dryer. I changed the fuse but it won't turn. Could it be the motor because I don't hear any sound?

there is a switch next to the belt tension arm behind the motor that needs to be reset push the switch needs to be pushed to the right andthis should get your unit running as long as you have power

Kenmore 90 series top loader washer water level.

There are easy checks before you replace the level selector body

remove the trim plates at both ends of the control panel to expose Phillips head screws 1 at each end. remove the screws
lift and swing the control panel up and over the back, it is hinged at the top.
The washer can be operated in this condition for testing

1 Rremove the air hose, and blow it out.
often water remains in the tube after changing levels, the water is not compressible so a small change in water level in the tank, makes too much difference in the sensor.
reconnect the tube and try a cycle ~1/3 chance of fixing it

If fail,
2 The spring inside Kenmore water level sensors that reacts to air pressure in the tube is not up to the job and stretches, not noticeable till changing water level settings moves the anchor point of the spring.
pull off water level knob from control panel front, from control panel back depress lock tab at right of level selector body rotate counter clockwise 45 deg and remove
adjacent to selector knob shaft is 1/8inch nut, turn clockwise to raise water level counter-clockwise to lower water level, test, adjust, test adjust ~1/2chance of fixing it

If fail
replace level selector body

How to remove the washer cycle selection/start-stop knob on a Whilpool Heavy Duty Thin Twin stacked washer dryer

I believe the selector knob on a Whirpool just has to be turned counter-clockwise with the selector pushed in. It will spin off the shaft and then the outer indicator dial will pull off. The shaft also has a keyed slot that will only allow the dial to be removed and installed one way, so there should be no question as to how it goes back on.

Was there a reason as to why you are removing the washer selector knob? If this is a simple matter of replacing a broken water temperature selector, you shouldn't have to remove any of the control knobs to gain access to the selector. The entire front panel comes off by removing the screws holding it in place. That way you can access the broken selector from behind the front panel much easier. Just remove the panel right above the washer top (under the dryer) and it should expose the front panel mounting screws. Remove these screws and the front panel comes off. Just make sure the unit is unplugged before you begin. I hope this helps you. Let me know if you need further assistance.

Auto Selection Knob

Hello Gigi2deb, well to be honest I haven't heard of this happening either and I have been working on this model since it came out. The issue here is that the cycle selector board sounds like it has moved back. Turn off the power to the dryer, take a putty knife at the lower corner of the facia panel along the outside edge and pry out carefully. Now open the door and if you look up you will see 3 slots, with the putty knife insert there as well and pry out, the panel will lift out at the bottom and you can access the selector.
