Make sure that there is no external storage device connected to you computer, and no cd into the cd rom device or you can do a power flee once of your laptop.

And than still if you get the same blank screen than

Check id the boot order is correct
and make sure that hard drive is being detected in BIOS if yes than

Try in Last known good configuration from Advanced boot option which you can access Via F8 while rebooting your system from start up.

If that doesn't work

than try in safe mode, safe mode with networking or Safe mode with command prompt and see if any of these modes work.

If none of the mode works than you need to get VIsta Dvd to perform start up repair and you can also try memory diagnostic tool if nothing works tha only otion is to reinstall Vista.

well it's a problem with ur BIOS so u need either to update ur BIOS if it's still work or u need to chabge it with new one
