Re: xbox not working
Sounds like your headed for the red ring of death mode. If you have a service plan or the machine is still under warranty i would suggest that you bring it back to the store, and get a new one if its not there are a few books out there that can help you they are listed on the right hand side of this website.
And errors 11 and 12 are over heating errors if you feel comfortable opening up your system. If its still under waranty i would not do this as MS will fix it free of charge they even send the box. If its not underwarranty and you would like to the heat sinks in your system might not be fully tightend just tighten the screws down on all the heat sinks

hi, how well does your daughter look after her games? if her disk's have scratches on them the xbox will have trouble reading it and will often do this. another cause is that the xbox is old the laser will be worn out and will take ages to load a game.
the 2 solutions are: 1. check the disk, if it is highly scratched go get it cleaned, most gaming stores will do it for a small fee 2. take apart the xbox (only if out of warranty and step-by-step instructions can be found on youtube) and clean it gently with a duster
Eject the disc and have a look at the back to see if there are any scratches, markings, dirt, or anything else that might be preventing your console from reading it properly.
Once cleaned, re-insert the disc and see how it goes. If the game freezes in the same place/area/timing as previously it could be due to an error on the disc, a glitch, or a corruption in your Xbox 360 cache or game save on the HD, and I can help walk you through the process of cleaning the corruption.
have you gotten all the updates from MS for the xbox?
i would check for heat issues, make sure none of the vent holes are plugged, blow it out with some compressed air, and make sure the back of the unit can vent well, if it is in a cabinet, it will get warm fast.
This has happend to me 3 times and it was so annoying, what you should do is send it back for repair. When you get it back try it and see if it works, if it does i would recommend playing 30 min - 1 hour a day to avoid damage to the console again. If you get it back and the same thing happens and the disk tray screws up aswell as the games then i would consider getting the PS3 and see how that goes.
I hope i helped you.
