im oparating on windows 7 and i have got a new d-link router from talktalk it will set up, please help

- my d-link router will not set up for a wireless conection on my laptop im stuck with the eithernet cable, the set up cd says it connot detect router, is this becuase im on widows 7, please help

It sounds like the wireless is disabled.
Try going into the routers setup and enable.

The basic steps are as follow from a wire connected PC:

Open a browser.
in the address line put: 192.168.0.1 (default address)
the default login is admin
the default password line is left blank.

you should now be able to locate the wireless access control and turn it on.
