You must be recieving a stereo signal for the set to recognize and offer the stereo option. That is more than likely why that option currently is grayed out...accordianman

We have a VIP 722 and the second channel is now without sound. We have sound on channel 1 but not 2. Any ideas?

Step 1: Check that TV or Stereo is not muted

Make sure that your TV or Stereo has not beed muted and that the volume is turned up loud enough to hear.

Step 2: Reset Receiver

If the issue is only on ONE receiver, unplug the DISH receiver for 10 seconds and plug back in.

Please note: It may take up to 5 minutes for the reset process to be completed.

Step 3: Check Receiver-to-TV Configuration

Step 4: Secure Receiver-to-TV Connections

Check that the connections between your DISH receiver, your TV, and any component(s) (VCR, DVD Player, etc.) in between are secure.

Connect Bose 901 VI EQ to a Harmon Kardon AVR 247 Amp

Similar problem...I came up with a solution with help from Onyko. For my receiver, at least, the bottom line was that the output from the equalizer MUST go to 'Receiver, Tape In'! Since that is the ONLY input source from the equalizer, you must combine elsewhere. Part of my setup included the Radio Shack Audio/Video Selector box which costs $ might not need it, but in my case, I couldn't plug all components into the back of the receiver and have them go through the equalizer.

Since I have a satellite receiver, DVD player and TV, that I want to route through the equalizer, here is the way mine is set up and working:

Satellite receiver and DVD player out to Radio Shack audio/video selector

Audio/video selector out to VCR in.

VCR video directly to TV

VCR audio red/white (audio) out to equalizer

Equalizer out to Receiver Tape IN (Receiver Out not used)

Hope this (or a variation of it) helps.

Toshiba 52hm95 DLP HDTV - no sound

What cables are you using? Some TV's and DVD players have options to set your audio source. My DVP5982 I have to set it to HDMI digital audio, check to see if you have that on your TV.

Toshiba VCR/DVD Recorder Combo - Problems connecting it to system

I was able to connect to my cable box. I used RCA (yellow, red, white) cabling. I connected the Video Out on the cable box to the Video In on the DVD/VC (to the DVD VCR cabling section). I then from same section used the Video Out using RCA Cabling to the the Video In connectors on my Phillips LCD TV. That left only to connect the TV to the cable box using regular TV coax cable. Everything works, although I am going nuts trying to dub from VCR to DVD-R or +R discs.
