Ok , as you may know, your car has a security feature that disables the stereo every time the power is disconnected from it. so that is your problem. you have 2 power supplies to your stereo. one is a wire that is connected to your ignition switch, so that is like an electrical switch so to say, that powers up the unit when you start the car. the second is a slightly larger wire that supplies a constant current to the stereo, even when the cars off. this wire allows the stereo to save your sound and radio presets, and other memory when you turn the ignition off. this constant wire is most likely your problem. im not sure where this wire is spliced into your battery. it may be at athe battery, or it may be a wire leading into your under hood fusebox. check the owners manual for the fuse locations, and check to see if they are bad. then, check to make sure there werent any wires or connecters that may have been left off by accident when the stereo was disconnected. finally if that doesnt work, you can locate this wire, and replace it, if you know how to use a digital multimeter. just determine what wire is the constant, cut and splice a new wire into the stereo-end of the old constant, then run that wire to a constant power supply, like directly to the positive battery post. if you do though, just make sure that the wire will be clear from any moving or hot parts, and dont forget to install some kind of fuse near the battery. im guessing a 10 amp fuse should be sufficient. hope this helps you, or at least gives you a good starting point.

You have to go to the dealer with your registration and they will give you the code for your radio but you will need a good battery you will need to leave your key on the acc side and wait for 15 min then put your code in

Power door locks do not work unless the ignition switch is on, radio and dome lights also do not work.

look for another fuse box in or under dash. still sounds like you have a blown fuse. look in owners manual for all fuse box locations, including underhood electrial center. good luck.

Hi,
Looks like an ECU problem,
You should go to your nearest dealer and check/scan and analyze your computer/ecu, some of the sensors might not be working already and need to be replace.
In the issue of starter, if it clicks and the motor of the starter whines up, it means it is working fine, the problem would be the bendix drive/gear can't reach the flywheel to start the engine.
My suggestion would be to bring that car to your dealer to check the ecu/computer and if the starter assembly is for your car model( sounds like its not for your car).

Hope that solves part of your problem!

Hi, my name is sierra i have a 2006 malibu maxx lt in my radio blew out i changed the fuse but every time i put the fuse in it sparks in blows out again do you know the price range on getting it fixed or...

There's other things on that fuse other than the radio. If you have the owers manual it outlines what each fuse does. Let's say the cig lighter. Cheach to see if you can find anything else that doesn't work. Then if your satified that its the radio that dash panel can be removed that covers the frount of the radio and them the radio can be pulled out. with it pulled out unplug the electrial connector then replace the fuse again. If it stays good with the radio unplugged then the radio has failed and your off to the junk yard to match up another one as, radio repairs cost way more than replacing the radio with a used wreaking yard unit. But I'll bet the fuse blows even with the radio unplugged so invesagate the other things that the fuse works like the power outside rearview mirrors. or other idem that you may find on that fuses circuit.

Radio error on Acura

you need to take the neg (-) battery cable off to reset the radio. you can only enter the radio code 3 times incorrectly than it will lock up. i think you can pull the back up fuse from the under hood fuse box for 10 seconds and that will also reset it.

Was in SAFE mode now screen is blank

bad ground or bad power source behind radio and radios sometimes has fuse to the back of radio
something might have surged the cars electrics

some vehicles come with 3 fuses for radios sometimes more
these fuses are listed as
fuse box
power wire fuse box this will be located on the power wire to radio
and then you have the radio fuse

some radios have what they call an antitheft shutdown if the code was not properly put in after so many times the radio completly shuts off or for a length of time it will also shut down the radio

recommendation take vehicle to dealer so they can show and reapply code for you to you then you would never forget how to do it
