try going into control panel, clicking hardware/sound, manage audio devices under sound click recording at the top, click on front mic or turtle beach, click properties, and then click levels, and eith adjust the pick up levels or add a few decibels of gain.
This can be a very anoying problem. I had it after using temporarily an USB headphone... It took a long time to solve (I had to uninstall the USB headphone)
go to settings / sound and audio devices
select the tab voice
there check what is in "voice recording" it should be your headset

ok im a big halo 3 player, i was playing a game of MLG and my mic fall of my head and hit the floor, i picked it back up, plugged it back in and now all the sudden my game sound quality sounds really weird and the people that are talking to me, i can barely hear. WTF just happened? I tryed re-plugging everything and stuff but it didn't help. Any body have a solution? <3 I've only had these for about 2 or 3 months.
