whenever i load pics the program asks me whether to delete pics from camera, i say yes, and it confirms that they have been deleted; however they are still there when i connect the camera to my computer, in other words it doesn't seem like they are being deleted. it drives me crazy. solutions, anyone? thanks.

Arrow right for "mode menu"
Arrow down twice for "card"
Arrow right twice, & hit "OK" for option "all erase"
Camera will confirm, choose "yes"

I can delete pictures just after I have taken them by using the buttons on the back of the camera, just after taking the photo and after it quits blinking meaning that it is done storing the photo, I now press the middle button that has a white square on it 2 times fast.
This button is on the back of the camera just to the right of the viewing screen. This puts the camera in a mode to view the photos you have already stored in memory. I use the 4 navigation button that are just north of that button to select through to the photo I want to delete, when I find it I then I press the black round button that is at the top of the back of the camera near the viewer opening just above the read square screen, This button has a white lightening bolt next to it. This then brings up a message on the screen that says ERASE in RED letters...You use the navigation buttons to indicate YES or NO and then you press OK and this one photo is deleted. You have succeeded if immediately see lots of blinking of the red light. This is a good habit to get into to get rid of poor photos right away so you don't store them forever.. There are two more ways to delete, one is to remover the card and put it in card reader and do it on your computer in exporer and another way is to directly connect your camera with a grey cable that is probably in the bag to your USB port. I now like this one as the least work method. If you decide to do this the plug in spot is a door you open on the left side of the camera.
Please let me know if this advice solved your problem with a reply. Thanks
