SOURCE: WHAT SHOULD THE RETURN/EXIT BUTTON DO ON MY REMOTE IT ONLY SEEMS

If you look on page 48 & 49 of your LG TV’s user manual, you will see your TV remote and a description of the buttons.
Your particular remote does not have a previous channel button or function. That backwards arrow button is to return one step in an interactive application or other user interaction functions.
However, if you get the full size LG TV remote it does have a “FLASHBK” button that will go to the prior channel. Some programmable TV remotes have this feature too.
You can go to the TV store and ask to use the larger LG TV remote that has the “FLASHBK” button on your TV on display to see if your TV will perform that function.
Good luck.

SOURCE: How to remove program from tv screen? When l

Try a reset to this set, and check. There are two types of reset to TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight; will be better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

I can't seem to be able to fast forward any more than twice speed. I know there is some way I can program it that it allows me to be able to do that but I can't seem to find in the manual where I...

Hi Henry,

  1. Usually DVD players DVD players come along with remote controls which have fast forward buttons which have the icon as ">>" .
  2. All you need to do , is press the button as per your requirement of fast forwarding.
  3. If you press the one, you would get a message as x2 on the TV screen and if you again press it , it would display x3 and if you press the button again it would show x4 , that is the maximum speed you can have usually for fast forwarding.
  4. So the solution is to keep pressing the button multiple times to change the fast forward speed.

Hopet his helps ...Your feedback would be appreciated.

I need the universal codes for my verizon fios remote, otherwise another recommendation of a universal remote that will operate my tv.

Setting up the Philips RC 144 remote if the remote codes are invalid or unknown If you do not know the remote codes for a device, or if you've tried all the listed remote codes for your device and none of them work, you can search for the correct remote code by following the steps below.

Note: These steps only apply to the Philips RC 144 Remote Control. If this is not the make and model of your remote, go to the supported remote control models page and find the instructions for your specific remote control.

Searching for a Device Code
  1. Turn on the device you want to program into your remote, for example if you are programming your remote to control your TV, then turn on the TV.

  2. Press and hold the device button for the device you turned on in step 1 (DVD, AUX, TV, STB) and press OK. Release both buttons.

    The mode buttons blink twice.

  3. Press 922.

  4. Point the remote control toward the device you are setting up and press the upper part of the Play button.

  5. Press the Fast Forward button. If the device you are setting up does not turn off, keep pressing the Fast Forward button until the device powers off. (You can use the Rewind button to go back, if necessary.)

  6. When the device powers off then you've found the correct code for that device. Press OK to assign the code in your remote control.

  7. Note:
There are over 200 possible combinations for TV and DVD codes. The most common codes are tried first but you may still need to press the Fast Forward or Rewind buttons over 200 times to find the correct code for your device.

If you reach the end of the list of codes, the entire remote flashes twice and returns to normal operation. You can exit programming at any time by pressing the Exit button.

Forward fasts on its own

you may want to try fast forwarding at 2x (that is, press the FF key twice), although the speed will be faster, it may actually stop for you, when you press play, rather than going to the end.
