Screen problems on a sony 60" widescreen tv

if some area of the screen even with the color set at zero is green go to an unused video input and look---this model is well known for red green or blue discoloration of what appears to to be the screen but is actually the optical light engine which projects the picture into a mirror which projects it on the screen.

attached is a typical light engine, note the round lens to the left , that is the optical unit that projects the picture into the mirror at the rear of the set which puts it on the screen----the engine is the most expensive part in the set so, .........

Spot in center of screen, if the color pictureis black the spot is blue, if the picture is white the spot is yellow.

Spots in screen is commonly caused by defective LCD on the optical assembly. LCD replacement is very difficult. I suggest to contact the nearest service center at your area.

My rear projection TV has color spots in the picture, most noticeable on light color picture

What is the make and model of TV. If it is a Panasonic that has different colored spots such as pink, blue etc. Then you need t6o contact Panasonic as this is a memory reset that they have to perform on the LCD driver board. Other brands of LCD projection sets that have spots that appear all over the screen mostly on white back rounds are almost always dust that has settled on the LCD panels. This requires a technician to clean the LCD panels if possible.

Blue section (corner) and blue dots

This set has no internal manual adjustments for color. The Tracking or B&W balance is accessed via the service menu. I don't suggest you attempt to adjust without instrumentation. the trouble with your set is not an adjustment. Most likely the Optics are at fault. This model has had issues with filters in the optics being destroyed over time by the lamp. The blue haze will get worse and continue to grow over the whole picture. The only option is to remove the Optics (light engine) and sent it out to be rebuilt.

Mistubishi WD-52527 52" LCD Projection TV

those are going to be dust spots on the LCD panels internal to the optical engine. i suggest that you take the screen off and take off the panel i nthe middle of the tv with 2 screws in it and there will be an area that has 3 metal fins covering thin orange ribbon cables. the 3 square objects at the end of those ribbon cables will be the LCD panels spray wiht air compressor unitl clean and that should greatly help your problem.

Screen spot

Since you have a black spot, you need to look at the mirror or inside screen. If it were a certain color, like purple or yellow, for instance, I would suggest a lens or picture tube, but, since it is black in one spot, I would suspect debris in those areas.
