Video problems and controller connection

My dogs knocked my ps3 off the table in my home. ever since my ps3 has not been connecting with the controllers and it shows no picture when i turn it on, and everything is hooked up properly. I just wanted to know is there anyway to fix it without necessarily sending it to anyone(mainly sony)to get this fixed?

Re: video problems and controller connection

You might have broken a connector, try moving the connected cables from side to side and up and down to see if the problem stops at some position. You can resolder the connectors to the pc board if so

Rock Cand controller for ps3 stopped working

Hi. Not sure what you could do. Turn your ps3 on manually so no controller is connected. Now hold your playstation home button for at least 30 seconds and it should start to flash and sync with your ps3.If not have a look if there is a reset button on the controller. There is normally a small pin hole on them which allows you to do this. Let me know what fixes your problem. Thanks

Can you help me on connecting my logitech f310 gamepad wired controller to my ps3

It is plug and play, but there is a couple problems with it. The Logitec button does NOT have the same function as a PS3 controller. It will not take you to the home controls. And, There is no SIXAXES feature either. So games that require it, wont work.

Why wont my ps3 controller connect to my ps3 console

Most often this is because the controller is already assigned to another system or lacks the charge to send/recieve a signal. The simplest way to solve this is to connect it to your PS3 via the USB charger cable, then try pressing the Home button again. If the problem persists, there is another fix; On the back of the controller next to the screw that holds it together is a very small hole. Try inserting a pin into the hole and hold it there for a few seconds, then try the above method again. This is a hard reset for the controller settings and has solved what few problems I've had with it connecting.
Hope this helps!

I am trying to connect my wireless internet in my hotel room

With absolutely no details about your Hotel internet connection, here is all i can do to help:
1. Start your PS3, and connect to the WiFi using the automatic settings.
2. If your internet still doesn't work (which i guess is the problem you are trying to describe) then open your internet browser on the PS3. Most likely your Hotel internet connection requires you to log in or "agree to their terms and conditions" on their home page.
3. Once you open the internet browser, wait till their default page opens. If it doesn't, try and then maybe their default page may open.
4. Agree to the terms etc, log in if required, and you should be good to go. (follow the instructions on the website. Some hotels leave a 'instruction pamphlet' in your room, on the table describing the log in instructions)
5. Close the browser and see if you can connect to PSN

No controler will connect to my playstation 3 ?

Did you try to connect first using the USB cable? I have had this problem because I take my controller to my friends house sometimes to use on his console for 2 player games. I always have to connect via cable first to get the controller recognised, after that I can use it wirelessly. Then when I take it home again, same problem. But connecting via cable first always fixes it.

My ps3 is freezing, is there anything i can do at home to fix this

Yes! You MAY BE able to fix your ps3's problem at home if you follow this guide. You need to RESTORE SYSTEM FILES of your ps3 to correct corrupt data that causes the freezing.

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} HOW TO GO TO THE RECOVERY MENU OF PS3 SYSTEM

1. Make sure the ps3 is plugged in (stand by mode).
2. Put out your usb cable for the controller and the controller itself (do not connect yet).
3. Hold down power firmly, ps3 will turn on and then turn off, release power button when t turns off.
4. Hold down power again, you will hear a beep and then a double beep, when you hear that double beep release the power button.
5. Now you should be seeing something in your monitor that say "Connect usb controller", do just that.
6. After connecting the controller press PS button.
7. You are now in the recovery menu.
8. To fix the problem of corrupt data you can choose #3.
9. If you want to format your hard drive choose #5. Be aware that this option will delete everything that is in your hard drive.
10. Remember that doing #3 and #5 is not 100% to fix the problem of corrupt data, I say about 70%.

Good luck!
