Air bound or pump overheating
pulled the pump out an ran an it runs fine no load on it
yes with no load may be fine with load more amps and has to push water more amps and with load can cause overheating
So would this mean that the motor is most likely bad
can be motor bearings or pump binding need to check operation
Ok thanks
no binding all is solid
might also have a bad run capacitor if so equipped. pull pump and take it to local pool pump motor repair guy with free testing and get the true reason why it's failing.

SOURCE: Whirlpool pump only buzzes.
Well there are two things....You say "buzzes?" Like pump is running "humming" & not pushing water. That would be an "airlock" in the pump & it needs to be primed.
If it's "buzzing" & pump motor is not turning (Like it's froze) you might have a bad start up capacitor on the pump that needs to be replaced. Worst case scenerio entire pump needs replacement.
SOURCE: I bought American Standard whirlpool
no manual. Sounds like the motor is no good. What model and brand of pump do you have?
replacement Bath Pumps
SOURCE: look below
make sure air and fuel filter are clean.Set pump pressure to mfg set pressure after two minutes of operation
SOURCE: husqvarna k750 runs for about 5 mins then shuts
Obevisley is over heating make sure all fins and vents are clear and blown out then the only other thing is to replace the ignition modual just trace the plug wire back to flywheel and ignition block
Replacement Air Switch will cost you about $20
