  • john h Sep 22, 2018

yes with no load may be fine with load more amps and has to push water more amps and with load can cause overheating

might also have a bad run capacitor if so equipped. pull pump and take it to local pool pump motor repair guy with free testing and get the true reason why it's failing.

SOURCE: Whirlpool pump only buzzes.

Well there are two things....You say "buzzes?" Like pump is running "humming" & not pushing water. That would be an "airlock" in the pump & it needs to be primed.
If it's "buzzing" & pump motor is not turning (Like it's froze) you might have a bad start up capacitor on the pump that needs to be replaced. Worst case scenerio entire pump needs replacement.

Hi. I have a Hayward H350FDN pool heater that is Doing this: • Turn on and Temp at 65 • On for 3 1/2 min then shuts down • Restarts and then on for 5 min, shuts down • Restarts and then on for 2 min,...

it almost sounds like the temperature sensor is in the wrong place. that or the flow is inadequate for the heater to run. if you have a sand filter, put it on 'whirlpool' or 'recirculate' and try to run the heater.

Heat works until thermostat calls for aux heat, then blower shuts off with outside unit still running.

Some blowers shut off depending on the system. Do you have electric hest strips inside? If not the blower will shut off. The outdoor fan should not be running if in defrost mode. If you have heat strips then you likely have low voltage wiring crossed

Have an American standard whirlpool tub. the on/off button is stuck on on. now the only way to shut the jets off is to flip the breaker to the bathroom. how do I fix this

This sounds like the air switch in the motor is not working properly. You will need to remove the pump from under the tub to access the air switch located in a housing on the motor.
Replacement Air Switch will cost you about $20

I have an american standard air tub and cannot get the air jets to shut off.  They turn off, but come back on automatically a short time later.  How do I shut the power off?

Check the air vacuum switch and line as you may have a air vacuum leak. The button that controls the on and off to the jets is an air vacuum switch....It may have a slow air leak in the line or connections that is activating the on and off control
