Wireless network problem

Hi, i have a basic Dell Inspiron XPS M140 basically everything that is listed there http://www.fixya.com/support/p484741-dell_inspiron_xps_m140_ixm140s1_pc under specs and i can connect to my wireless router (belkin F5D7231-4) and im using Intel PRO set wireless as my wireless manager. I have no trouble connecting to the internet from that router on my other laptop (sony vaio VGN-C290). i can connect to the router on my dell but i can't seem to connect to the internet! please help me with this problem. Thanks in advance.

    Oh and my OS is Windows Xp MCE 2005 (sp2)

    i have windows xp media center edition 2005 and i have windows defender and mcafee

What operating system do you have running on the Dell? Is there a hardware/software firewall setup/installed?

XPS Dell M140 Network Controller Driver wireless not working

go to device manager , click on networks
uninstall the wireless network card , go to support.dell.com
update the latest wireless drivers for your wan card , restart the system it will start working

What Wireless modem will work in Dell's Inspirion XPS M140

Hi,

I recommend Netgear or Linksys wireless routers/modems.

They work with just about any ISP (internet service provider) and are very reliable.

No sound on inspiron xps 140

Hi,


Have you installed proper driver for sound card? If no then download sound driver and install it from;

Internet connection

HI,
Press the FN+ f2 key on the keyboard and switch on the wirless antenna .
