SOURCE: Dishwasher not drying

the dishwasher does not have a heating element to dry the dishes. If you wash glass or ceramic dishes and cups then the rinse cycle makes them hot enough to dry without a heating element but if you wash a lot of plastic this process does not work very well. Open the door after the load is washed and leave them to air dry for several hours and you will be fine.
The manual states that there is no heating element to dry dishes. The high heat content of porcelain, glass, or metal dishes enables them to get hot and stay hot long enough to get dry without a heater. Plastic does not have nearly as high a heat content so they cool down much more quickly and don't get dry.

SOURCE: Dishwasher runs for way too long then doesn't dry dishes.

the problem you have is probably in the heat circuit. its trying to heat the water up and keeps running because the water does not get any hotter. you need to check the heater wires and a couple of sensors as well as the heater itself.

Frigidaire Dishwasher Model GLD4355RFS0 Will not sanitize and leaves dishes wet ?

Hello,
One common issue on these units is the heater wire will fall off. If this happens, the dishwasher will not heat. Also make sure the rinse agent is full. On most of the newer dishwasher rinse agent must be used to help dry the dishes.

Sir, I have a Kenmore Dishwasher, model 363.14455690. The dishes when dry still come out slightly wet; most everything still has to be wiped dry. Can I increase the heat some how??

it is a comination of fully fully rinse agent compartment and hot water. the rinse agent helps with the drying and the steam from the hot water is the finisher . check that first .i this helps you then help me by sending me a 4 thumbs up post. thanks!

My diswasher won't dry my dishes. It leaves them

if no rinse agent is present it doesnt matter how hot the water gets they will still not dry check unit make sure it is full. rinse agent is only to aid the drying process the machine will wash happily without it but not dry.

My dishes ang glasses are cloudy *** well as the doors

The cause of the cloudiness is usually due to hard water drying on the dishes and can turn into etching (or pitting) of your dishes. If you have particularly hard water it is well worth investing in a water softener or filters. 2nd; Use plenty of rinse agent (jet dry or similar). Rinse agent gives your dishes a sheen (almost like waxing your car) and helps the dishes dry quickly and cleanly. 3rd; Clean the d/w every 1 to 3 mths. using a good cleaner. Hard water deposits can be cleaned with a little CLR. Use GLISTEN to clean your d/w. Glisten is not found in grocery stores but can be found online or at an appliance parts shop for 5-6 dollars. Cloudy glasses dirty silverware

Use a good quality dish washer detergent with dry assist agents and anti spotting agents. You could have hard water also. Same fix though.

Does Not Dry Dishes

Withe the model and serial number it appears that this dishwasher is less than 2 years old.
Your symptoms point to a failed heating element. That is kind of surprising because this dishwasher ~should~ report an error code if the thermistor does not detect the raising temperature from the heating element.
The LG LDS and LDF models do NOT turn on the heating element in the drying cycle. It turns it on during the final rinse and the dishes dry as the built in fan runs.
So, I suspect the drying fan and related gear is inside the door panel. Do a load of dishes and listen for the final rinse to drain. Then, listen really closely near the top of the door for the quiet sound of a fan _and_ place your hand underneath the left hand side of the closed door for warm air blowing straight down.
If you do not hear./feel what I discribed , the drying system has failed. OH, and if you have any water leaking from the door (right where the warm air is supposed to come out, contact LG service folks and firmly request that they replace the drying parts with a retrofit kit.
Please review this and tell me what works and what questions you still have.
Good Luck and please keep me posted! OK?

Jennair dishwasher jdb8910aww

Start by puting timer in heat dry for about 4 seconds and see if element got warm. If so check you rinse aid and make sure it is full. I like the turbo dry made by jet dry. If it is empty, this is your problem. about the smell, you would use a cleaner such as diswasher magic made by GE. If element did not get warm, put unit on heat dry and and test voltage at the element. 120 volts present replace element. if not check voltage at thermal fuse for 120 volts. If no voltage there replace timer.
