Question about Mitsubishi CS-40503 TV
The screen is entirely black, no raster nothing; yet I feel static electricity when it is turned on. The audio works fine. Before the screen when blank, The screen had approximately 4 thin white HORIZONTAL lines spread vertically across the top 6 inches. If it is the CRT, is it worth replacing? I am on a fixed income. Today, is there such a thing as re-built CRT's? More than 50 years ago I replaced many CRT's with re-rebuilt. Now I art my age I would have my son help me if it is worth doing. How much should it cost if I take it to a shop. Labor? parts? I am in A SITUATION WHERE 50% OF THE COST WILL BE PAID BY ANOTHER ENTITY. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I love this TV and at my age, Big & bright is a necessity.
