Dco11 got wet, charges but no radio

My dewalt dco11 radio got wet. It still charges batteries fine, however I have no radio or lcd display-the fuse on the power board seems to be fine. What next?

p.s. it was rained on -not submerged.

HI BVanhook,,

You have probably increased damage by trying to power the unit when it is wet. Any time you get electronics wet, you should not apply power when a chance the circuit is wet. This is becasue a form of Electroplating occurs. Metal from one circuit trace will move to another. Heat will build from short circuiting and the circuit will destroy itself.
Disassemble the Radio and Display, dry it throughly. Do not apply any more power until you have thoroughly inspected the circuitry with a magnifying glass to see if any of the Electroplating occured. Clean it up by scratching the short circuits between the traces to clear the connections made by the Electroplating. Good Luck

You might need a multimeter to check for shorted circuits on the powerboard. Most likely the powerboard itself is screwed...Report back so that i can see you through this..

Lock ion a radio station

TO PROGRAM THE MEMORY BUTTONS
Ten FM and five AM radio stations may be independently set. After programming the buttons,
pressing 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 will instantly change the frequency to the preset station.
1. Turn power on.
2. Set the radio to desired station (see Tune or Seek Function).
3. Press and hold one of the desired memory buttons (F). The station setting begins flashing in
the LCD display (G). Continue to hold the button down until the flashing stops. The memory

My dewalt radio charges, but has no display and wont play anything at all

Try this if the display seems stuck on the same station: If you take off the front of the radio (don't forget 2 screws in back!) you will notice a set of black and red wires running from the 2 AA backup batteries to the digital display circuit board. The wires plug into the board with a little white plug. If you unplug this the display will fade to nothing. If you plug it back in it will display an unset digital clock format. This seems to reset the radio, after which it should work.

When i switch off dewalt dco11 radio the station memory is lost

Does the clock lose time too? 2 AA batteries under a door inside the battery compartment. Change them, reset time and stations.

Dewalt DCo11 worksite radio W/ charger. Only works with batteries. No 120 V. Checked fuse. OK

Check to see if you have voltage out of transformer, more than likely you won't, if theres no voltage out of your tranny it needs a replcement.

My dewalt radio stopped working. I plugged it in, no power. I charged the battery and put the battery in and no power ?

Check fuses inside. Check fuse and connections in plug. If this is a 110v radio there is one on transformer winding.
