After running for a while there is a water leak on the left side of the unit
and also there is excessive condensation on the liquid line.
My question is how do you recharge this to the correct refrigerant charge.
Can you use the superheat system or do I have to remove all the refrigerant and recharge based on weight
Yes super heat will work. These systems do not have a "liquid line" BOTH LINES ARE ON THE EVAPORATOR SIDE.the smaller line needs to be insulated also. to check subcooling open the condensing unit.

I bought 3 mini split systems from a company in NY and had them professional installed last summer. When there was a prorblem with one of the unit I tried to use the warranty and no one responded. I contacted the Attorney General's office in NY and they tried to contact the company to no avail. I now have a problen with two of the units after having spent over $5000. One unit has a flashing error code of "E2" and will not come on. The other unit, the indoor unti will come on but not the outdoor unit. This happened after a power surge. Does anyone know what this erro code means and how to repair it?
