That is called the roller ring. If you look up your model number online you should be able to find one. they are pretty cheap. probably less trouble than trying to argue with them or run the whole unit back to them to return it.

It is now time for a different one.
Please do not start the machine anymore, it is no longer any good, and may catch on fire and burn up
I am a retired firefighter, and have seen this happen.

PLMVZ169HCA Turntable slips on the glass plate
hmmm? me's thinking about this one!!!!
the glass plate has drive dogs on the bottom of it, that fit into drive dogs on the turn table, if its not meshed up right it just spins freely and normaly throw's the glass plat off??? are the bearing that are under the glass plate turning freely? thats the big ring that the plate rides on near the out side edge of the plate, and can be taken out for cleaning??? it looks like a hoop with 3 or 4 rollers in it??? if you forgot to put this bit back in the right way up after cleaning it thats the problem???
