I am very inexperienced with any audio systems. I have a rockford fosgate P312 D4 12'' sub connected to a kenwood KAC 9102D amp with a 1 Farad capacitor. I was listening to it at about 60% with a song that has a lot of bass. The sub went out. I get no sound from it. When i push on it in the center, there is no scratching noises or anything. Any ideas?

You exceeded the rating for this up. We all like to jam but what the sound clear coming through the woofer? I would definitely have turned down the games to know more than half. Inexperienced car audio into the test seems to think that the games need to be turned on always up to get maximum power. Unfortunately this causes so much distortion that the subs burn up not due to over kill on wattage but from the distortion.

There should be a small sesistor soldered onto where the wires are, if so, then this has blown, in some cases, you can remove this, but you will lose any overload protection that it was originaly put there for

To bridge a Kenwood KAC-9102D

Hello laurogleal,

The Kenwood KAC-9102D is a mono amp. There is no bridging. Having two sets of terminals is just a more convenient way of connecting two subwoofers. The amp is stable down to 2 ohms impedance, so it is safe to run 2 4 ohm loads in parallel.

Hope this helps.

Install my Kenwood KAC-9102D in my 2006 Acura RSX Type S

You will probably need to use a Line Output Converter (LOC). They're available at virtually any shop that sells car audio.

Many times, the outputs of the OEM amplifier will have significant DC voltage on them. This could damage the input circuits on the kenwood amplifier.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

How to install kenwood kac-9102d in 2006 acura rsx

My recommendation is to get a line level converter. Go to a car audio shop or even best buy and specifically ask for a line level converter. It will have speaker wires in and RCAs out. Connect the speaker wires to the sub woofer speaker wires and then you will have the RCAs to run to your amp. I hope this helped.
