Re: i cant get it to turn on

Use another plug, check the wires, reset and if all fails return the product if feasible.

Re: i cant get it to turn on

Hi TweyTwey,
Is this a new router? Are you sure that you are using the correct power adapter, if you are then the adapter might be faulty! Try another adapter. Also, be sure that the wall socket you are plugged into is functioning...test it with a light. There is one other thing you might try. If you look on the back of the router, you will see a reset slot. You can use a pen and push and hold the reset for a moment to cause it to recycle. If none of these things solve the issue then I would suspect that the router is defective.

Nook hd wont turn on even when plugged to the wall

use another charger or change your USB cable.
It might be really tricky if you find out whether the problem is due to the power supply and pin-out or not?

Cant seem to get the spliter thing to work properly for internet and cable tv

One port on the splitter is the "input" port -- it connects to the cable wall-jack.
Two (or more) ports on the splitter are the "output" ports; connect one port to the cable-modem, and connect one port to your TV (or Digital TV Terminal).

Note that some OLD splitters are not "two-way" -- any signals going "out" from the cable-modem will not get "through" the splitter to the wall-jack. Be sure that you have a NEW "two-way" splitter.

How do I retrieve my password so another user can use his laptop?

If you don't remember your password the best thing to do is to reset the router.
1. Turn off your dsl or cable modem. Keep the router plugged in to the wall.
2. Find the reset button on the back of your router.
3. Use a pen to press the reset button.
4. Hold the reset button down for about 30 seconds.
5. The lights will flash on the router.
6. Turn your dsl or cable modem on again.
7. Reconfigure your router. It will be set to the default user name and password. User name should be blank and password is "admin" without the quotes.

Cant get the broadband link up

The picture looks like it is a 2wire DSL modem. If this is service from AT&T/SBC you should have gotten filters to put between the phone and the wall jack make sure those are installed. Power off the 2wire modem ( unplug power )Then disconnect all computers and routers you may have from the 2wire router. Plug one computer in to the router then turn on the computer first then plug the power back into the 2wire router. Wait and see if you get an uplink. If not go to this webpage
The password is probably on the serial number sticker on the 2wire.

Once you are there click on Broadband Link icon. If it says connected you are good to go. If it does not then call the internet provider for registration of 2Wire router to the service

Router wont turn on when i plug it into the wall.

That sounds like your power adapter is not working properly.
You can either
  1. replace it if you have one lying around with the same specifications (make sure the small plug fits in the router!)
  2. using a voltmeter to test if there is any power at the output
  3. take your router to an electronic store and let them test the power supply or the router.
The specs for your adapter are:
Input: 110V / 60Hz
Output: 12V / 1Amp

That means:
The voltage should be within +/- 10% of 12V. More is not ok.
Any other adapter has to be able to deliver at least 1 Amp. More is ok.

Conecting netgar wpn824v2 to cable internet

what exactly do you plug directly in the wall? what kind of connector does it use? an 'f' connector on a coax cable or RJ45 (like a phone plug? if you are using a cable connection you have to have a modem for that to work. if you are using a Ethernet cable tied directly to a jack on the wall you'll have to be sure routers are allowed to connect. or register the router with your provider. be sure your wireless router is getting an address form the internet provider. with out more details i can't give you any more specifics.

-good luck-
