I have the same problem with one, and another one works fine. I'm trying to get this verified, but I think there is a compatibility issue. The ipod that works is running an older version of itunes. The ipod that doesn't work has the latest itunes software and firmware.
For now, don't even attempt to use the iLive if you experience any problems because it can cause complete failure in the ipod, which is what happened to me.

My ipod wont charge and screen frozen

Most ipods can generally be unfrozen by doing a soft reset by holding down the menu button and the center button. You can also refer to this website which may help also. http://www.ehow.com/how_6905387_fix-ipod-nano-2nd-generation.html

My icraig ihome for my ipod says it will not charge my ipod what dod i do ?

This usually indicates an incompatibility between the charging unit (in this case, the boombox) and the iPod.
Most often, this is because the iPod is a more recent generation than the boombox supports.
Check the Craig website, or your documentation, to see if your iPod model is compatible. If it isn't, there's nothing you can do.
In these cases, the unit (boombox) will usually play the iPod songs OK, it just can't charge it.

Nano 8gb does not charge battery(3th generation)

the ipod of the 4th generation does only charge in USB mode and the Harman & kardon speaker only supports I link charge mode(fire wire 1394) so i bought an awsome sounding machine wich does not charge my ipod nano.
however i must say that i have a solution, when you put the USB cable in the back of the H&K, you can charge the nano with a charging device of an ipod.

Problem with ihome and ipod nano.

yes, unfortunately the ihome iH9 is not compatible with previous models of the ipod nano.

if you want a similar device, there are many other docking stations for the ipod that are ip0 that ARE compatible with the ipod nano 2G

iH85B is another ihome dock which is compatible with all ipods after the ipod mini (including the ipod nano 2G)
