Ipod Nano 2nd Generation won't charge on Boombox

My daughter's 2nd generation ipod nano plays on the boombox just fine but it won't charge. Is there an explanation or fix for this?

ApprenticeThe problem is "ipod dock receiver connector"(connector is fuck), move forward and backwards the ipod just point the ipod can play the songs..
