Hourglass of death need help

My phone keeps going to a white screen with the hourglass of death and then it goes to the yellow sprint screen again with the hourglass and wont leave that screen. i have already pulled the battery, wiped it out wiped the battery off and reinstalled the battery, it does the same thing. one night i let it just do its thing and let the battery die. i pluged it in after the battery had compleatly drained and again when i pluged it in it charged like normal but when i turned it on i saw the hourglass of death again. all i can seem to find are solutions that involve you getting into the options menu on the phone, only problem is i cant get into the phone.
