My grandson has hand foot & mouth disease . he is always giving me kisses and he had a running nose and some blisters I CARE FOR HIM 9-10HRS A DAY .

FMD is contagious specially during the first week. Adults may not really feel the symptoms at first or at all. If you think you are already exposed to the disease, at least do your best not to spread to others since you are already a carrier. Go to a doctor to advise you for proper medicine. I wish you and your grandson well and speedy recovery.

What treatment for hand foot mouth disease?

HFMD as you probably know is unrelated to the disease of farm animals, and is common in school children.

It is usually a mild disease, is viral, and there is no specific treatment apart from childrens' paracetemol (not aspirin).

Good hygiene is needed around the sick person, with hand-washing and covering up coughs and sneezes.

Exclusion from school may be required until the blisters and rash have cleared.

If at all concerned take the sick person to a doctor.
