If you remove the wheel can you spin the gear cluster forward with no resistance? Does it ratchet when spun backward? If yes and no, the hub is shot.

SOURCE: freewheel lever broken

For the wire to come all the way out lever on top of the trans must be broken. I've seen a few. Jack rear of mower up, remove rear right wheel and find remnants of lever. With pliers turn this all the way forward, mower will now go. But to fit new lever trans will have to be removed. Dont forget the axle key.

Green Light flashes when key is in. WONT GO !!!

  1. Check the battery: Make sure the battery is fully charged and properly connected to the scooter. If the battery is low, charge it fully before trying to use the scooter.
  2. Reset the controller: Turn off the scooter and disconnect the battery. Wait for a few minutes, then reconnect the battery and turn on the scooter. This should reset the controller and may fix the issue.
  3. Check the freewheel lever: If the freewheel lever is engaged, the scooter will not move. Make sure the freewheel lever is disengaged before trying to operate the scooter.
  4. Check the throttle: If the throttle is not working properly, the scooter will not move. Make sure the throttle is fully engaged and that there are no obstructions preventing it from moving.

I have a jazzy select 7 and freewheel mode will not change even after rocking chair and moving handles up and down it still stays in drive mode

To engage or disengage the drive motors: 1. Locate the manual freewheel levers at the front of the chair. See figure 5. 2. Push the levers down to engage the drive motors (drive mode). See figure 8. 3. Pull the levers upward to disengage the drive motors (freewheel mode). See figure 9.
If a lever is difficult to move in either direction, rock your power chair back and forth slightly. The lever should then move to the desired position Manual link below.

Scooter will not move. Batteries and charger are fine. Controller was replaced. What could cause the problem

Have you checked that the freewheel lever is properly engaged? You will find it somewhere near the rear wheels. If it isn't engaged the scooter will not move when the power levers are pressed. It would react like a car in neutral ie nothing would happen.

Scooter won't move when forward/reverse engaged.

Engage the freewheel lever
- allows you to operate the mobility equipment with the standard controls.
Disengage the freewheel lever - This unlocks the unit and allows the wheels to spin freely. You can easy push the equipment without power. This is especially helpful if you run out of battery power and need assistance.

The red light flashes 5 times scooter will not move

I would look at the freewheel lever. Disengage and then engage the freewheel and see if this corrects the problem. If not, you may have a bad freewheel switch.

Constant beeping when turned

The freewheel lever isn't re-engaged properly. Try moving the lever to "free" then back to "drive" again. The lever moves a small micro-switch.

Go Go scooter wont engage gears

Try first without power to switch from freewheel to engaged. Its usually a small lever on the back by the wheels. If the scooter can be moved by hand its in freewheel. Switch the lever then move the scooter slightly til you hear it click in. They don't have brakes, They are supposed to live in gear and then are either moving or not. :) Hope this helps.

Rover three wheel mobility scooter full charge horn working but just wont move

First of all,

Make sure the freewheel lever is unengaged (up or down ?) , this can be tested by pushing the scooter forward , you should hear gearbox clunk,(Freewheel not engaged) Not all scooters sound a alarm when freewheel is engaged.

is the power indicator working okay,

Does the Wig Wam move freely, the thumb throttle part,

Check under the seat to make sure you have not blown or tripped the fuse, if it's a switch simply pressing the button will sort it, if not check the two prong fuse ,

you may also have some reset buttons on the stem so look out for them.

Now let me what you tried

Regards
GeWiz.
