The fact that the lights are on and that you get wireless signal means that the computer is making a connection with the router, but the router is not making a connection to the internet.
Try a sequenced power-cycle. Turn off the computer (completely off, not hibernating or sleeping), then turn off your modem (if you have one) and finally turn off your router.
Wait 5 minutes and turn it on in the backwards order. First the router, then the modem and finally the computer. If it's still not working, contact your ISP's tech support, there's probably an outage in the area or another problem with your internet service,

Cant connect my dell latitude d800 to internet. the wireless says that it is connected, but when i pull up my internet browser, it tells me i am not connected. wtf?

Make sure the router is getting online. You might have to cycle the power (unplug for 30 seconds and plug it back in) on the router.

I have an ebook notebook 7 but it wont load the internet even though it is saying im connected with a strong signal. any advice?

just because you are connected to a wireless network does not necessarily mean that you can access the internet. Can you access the internet from another wireless device using the same wireless network. If you can then the problem lies with whatever browser you are using and maybe your firewall. Please reply with what windows version you are using and what browser and firewall is on your ebook

I have a Dell Latitude D600. I can connect to the internet if my computer is plugged directly into my modem. When I disconnect from the modem and try to access the internet using wireless, I can not...

Your computer may be picking up the wireless networks in your area including yours but you still require to configure your computer to the router for which you will require to go through the manual which came along with the router/modem. If you are a computer savy man you can do it yourself otherwise you will require services of technical person.

Latitude d600

the excellent connection refers to the wireless signal and not the internet connection, so go to tools on your web browser, internet options, then delete all temp files, history and cookies, close your browser down and open it up again and see if it connects, if not keep clicking refresh.

Try different sites incase there is a fault on the site you are trying to browse.
