Most people try to install these appliances themselves. The conversion kit comes with color coded gas nossels that need to be placed into the correct burners, I think your problem is a separate fuel nossel located under the oven burner in the back. it most likely needs to be removed, fliped over and put back in. The instructions are somewhat difficult to follow which people end up just skipping.
I suggest you download or find your conversion instructions and try this solution. There is a label on the fitting that tells you which way it installs (its reversible)

It is normal for this to happen the first time. Its just the oils from peoples hands who installed the element. It will go away.

Smoke from broiler. Alarm in kitchen went off. All others, 8, went off. Had to remove all batteries. When I attempt to reinstall they go off again.

you aren't to believe this but...with the battery out of the smoke detector.
Press the "Test" button and hold it down for 15 seconds. An alarm will sound briefly, then the alarm will silence.
Put the battery back in the smoke detector. The detector will chirp one time to indicate the battery is connected.
hope this helps!
Happy New Year.
hope the steaks didn't burn :)

What tempature and time to smoke ribeye steaks 1 inch

Hi kdmadden1...

Prepare the smoker for barbecuing by bringing the temperature up to 200°F to 220°F
(95°C to 105°C).
Put the steaks in the smoker and cook for about 2 hour for Medium Well to Well Done.
Check your steak at 1.5 hours to see how it is doing...maybe almost rare to medium rare...
During the last 15 minutes of cooking before the meat is done, you will brush the meat with some of marinade, bbq sauce, etc if you want.
Please take time to rate me thumbs up.

My gas range/oven emits a toxic smoke that burns our eyes WAY different than spilled food. The smoke comes out the right side vent rahter than the usual left side vent and only when we cook higher than...

When the oven gets dirty and you don't run the clean cycle, dirt builds up and burns away the hotter the oven gets. Run the clean cycle if you have a self clean mode on the oven. throw the metal burner and grates in the oven too. (no plastic) open a window because it will stink and it takes a few hours to run. If not, use oven cleaner then run the oven to the hottest temp for at least 1-2 hours to burn the old dirt out..
Good Luck, Bill

Kenmore 665.95029100 smokes (a lot) during self-clean mode. Have you ever heard of this?

Yes, you will get a lot of smoke if you have either waited too long to clean the oven or something has spilled in the oven and it was not wiped up in time. There is supposed to be a "smoke eliminator" element in the vent for self clean, if that element fails it can cause problems, but failure of the smoke eliminator is rare. Your issue may simply be that you need to run the clean cycle more frequently. You might have to put up with it once more and clean it up and then subsequent cleanings will not be as "smoky".

I hope this helps.

Oven cleaning bosch oven

self cleaning is sometimes a cycle called PYRO clean / look for the setting with a really high temp. self cleaning is a programmes require a massive amount of heat and will smoke a lot when on , so dont be alarmed! most oven when on self cleaning mode will automaticly lock the door due to the high heat involved in the process. so remember to remove pans etc. from inside.

Hotpoint self-cleaning oven

I believe they make an oven cleaner for self clean ovens.  Don't try regular oven cleaner.  Ruins finish.
