word_answers.gif I had the same problem and changed the two thermostats on the base and got it working. You can get them from partmasters.co.uk (thermostat protector) cost 17.99. They just screw in and are dead easy to fit

Sounds as though the drain is blocked partially. E4 is the overfill code. Try cleaning out the drain.

The "004" error code is an indication of a water temperature sensor error. There is a chance that there is a loose wire connection on the water temperature

mean while 004 error code indicates that the water temperature sensor reading is out of range (below 23 degrees F or above 217 degrees F).

however, what you need to do tp fix up the problem is to unscrew the washer then clean up all forms of dry and water you can seen in it with this the problem of the 004 error code is solve .

please make sure that all form of power supply is put OFF before you can do this

thank you and thanks for using fixya.

Hi, I have error message 20 on BDW14 Baumatic. Dishwasher won't start. What does it mean? Thank you..

Error 20 is not a listed error in Baumatic dishwasher. They only mention E1 to E7.

There is a reset procedure for random errors which can be viewed at this page.

Error code 4 on baumatic bkd64ss what does this mean ?

Baumatic E4 error is caused by a float switch triggering in the sump of the machine. Anything over about 1/2 a pint in the bottom of the machine will lift the polystyrene float and the fault code will show. If the water has been caused by over enthusiastic cleaning or a drip or two over time then all that is required is for the water to be removed. For a built in machine (DISCONNECT THE POWER) then just unclip the front bottom right hand black plastic cover (behind your kitchen kickboard). Using a jcloth or similar mop up and the fault will clear. Replace the cover and restore the power and kickboard.

Error code e4

This might be a re-badged generic dishwasher - on my Baumatic E4 error caused by floatswitch in bottom catch tray. Some (supposedly small amount) water collects here and should evaporate naturally. If it accumulates, float rises and stops machine.

TURN OFF THE POWER

try to find a way into the machine base catch-tray to sponge it out - on the Baumatic there are two large black plastic plugs on the front of the machine base that can be forcibly flipped out.

failing that, take machine out and tip it up to get rid of water

I need to reset my dishwasher but don't know how!!

If it's any help then here is the link to the user manual (when you download it it applies to bdw13 as well even though it is labelled for the bdw14) http://www.baumatic.co.uk/products/discontinued-models/dishwashers/integrateddishwashers/BDW14 Best I could come up with is to try page 19 at the bottom of the "dishwasher doesn't run" section - there are two different types of reset which may do the job. Hope this helps :)
