Question about Hitachi 70SBX74B 70" Rear Projection Television
Just last week, when turning the power on, the TV worked fine for about 20 mins, then just shut off. Unplugging it, and plugging it back in, I see the PC board inside, green lights come on, then all DIM, I'm wondering if this is a power supply issue, or something worse. I hate to get a new TV if this one can be fixed. Thoughts >
If those green lights on the board are going dim, then yes it should be repaired. This is likely a bad main filter capacitor on the primary side of the switch mode transformer. Should not cost over $150 at the most. Easy fix
