Vista 64 bit will not display on an external monitor

To solve this problem you should see on your keyboard a FN key by the windows key this key activates the secondary mode of your keyboard it has to be held down for this mode to stay on as soon as you let go of the keyboard returns to normal you should also noticed that F1-F12 have different symbol's on the keys one of them should transfers the display to you external monitor to get it to go back jut repeat the above steps hope this helps

Be sure to have latest driver for your external monitor or check if there is a task in the task scheduler called TMM (Microsoft
Transient Multi-Monitor Manager). disable it.
Or use NVidia panel if installed on your system.

The problem is not with the windows vista , but the problem seems like the graphics driver.Restart your computer and press F12 a couple of times before windows loads. You should see Boot menu screen.
Now toggle the display to the external monitor, by pressing the FN+ F8 . if the display toggles the video port is fine, if not then you need get the video card checked. If the display is there. Restart your computer , and try reloading your graphics card drivers.
