Hi

The steps are as follows

1) Insert the cassete to be recorded into Deck 1. Put the blank cassete into Deck 2

2) Press Speed to select either normal or X 2 recording speed (this will illuminate on the deck)

3) Press ATC on Deck 2 and it will enter standby mode

4) Press Synchro Start and the recording begins

5) To stop recording press Stop on Deck 2.

Hope this helps. Please do remember to rate my answer. Thanks.

New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Technics tape deck-rs-tr515 tape starts then stops-does it need a good cleanig

Hi there! A good cleaning will help with the fidelity of the machine but if I understand your problem then it can only be that the machine needs a good service like lubrication and new rubber belts capstan roller and so on.Try your tapes on another machine and check how the behave.as sticky cassettes I have seen ruined very expensive decks.

Malcolm hi! The tape decks are normally interchangeable as a unit and if you have a remote control that also operate your Hi Fi then you are stuck to the model.

I WANT TO PURCHASE ONLY CASSETTE TAPE DECK HEAD ; AMORPHOUS Z 3 HEAD FOR TECHNICS CASSETTE TAPE DECK

All you can do is look on E bay for someone who is selling such an item. The fact that they are no longer produced is going to make the price high. This is the reality of cassette tape decks these days.

Finding a Microcontroller for a Technics Tape Deck

I am sure there is one available or suitable sub . I wonder if technics would provide more information if you contacted them or a local electronics store.
A microcontroller may or may not be programmed for a specific purpose so, that also may be an issue if not purchesd froma source used for that device.

There is also a forum called tapeheads:

I found some links here and even a few sold for parts around 15 bucks:

I can't find the manual to my Technics RS-TR272 Stereo Cassette Deck. How do you tape something on one cassette to another?

Place the tape you want to record into the left deck, Then the blank tape into the right deck. Press play on the left deck and record on the right deck.

It may be opposite depending on which side your recording deck is on.

Which ever deck has record, place blank cassette into that one and the cassette you want to copy into the other deck.

Hope this helps and please rate thanks

I need to know how to record 1 tape onto another tape on a Technics rs tr-575 dual cassette deck

press the synchro start button, the tape deck should now go to REC PAUSE, press the SPEED button till you get the required recording speed then press the synchro start again and it should start to record from deck 1 to deck 2.

make sure the tabs at the top of the tape you want to record on are intact,
if not just put a bit of sticky tape over holes.

hope this helps?

Help

Just connect you EQ to your receiver as if it were a tape deck: EQ's outs connect to receiver's tape ins (play) and EQ's ins connect to receiver's tape outs (record).

Then you hook the tape deck up to the tape ins and outs on the EQ: Tape deck outs connect to EQ's tape ins (play) and tape deck ins connect to EQ's tape outs (record).

This will put the EQ in your receiver's tape loop. To hear the EQed signal with all receiver sources you'll need to engage the 'Tape Monitor' button or switch which will route the tape loop to the speakers.
