Question about Televison & Video
Try to play the DVD discs on your computer with a DVD player program(not regular video player). You could try Leawo Blu-ray Player which can play Blu-ray discs and DVD discs regardless of the region code. If you cannot play your DVD discs via this player, then it's highly possible that your DVD has been damaged.

If this unit has a built in DVD player, then the player's lens may need cleaning. There are lens cleaning discs available for this. If the unit does not have a built in player, then the same applies to your player & there is no problem with the projector itself.

Did you put a splitter onto the cable signal? If yes, the signal is attenuated to much and there simply isn't enough signal for the recorder to decode. Call your cable company and request a signal amplifier be placed on your line. It's usually free.
