Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

The phone was dropped in water, the screen stopped working so I contacted the insurance and got a new one. Can the memory be saved from the old phone or did the water ruin the memory card?

If it was an actual memory card then yes but if it was the built in memory there is no way to recover it

My phone dropped and now i cant see my screen

Looks like the drop has either dislodged the connectors or broken the screen internal links. If you have checked the battery is still intact and making contact then time to either replace the screen or buy a new one. If you have phone insurance then you could claim from your insurance company. Some phone companies provide a replacement at a small additional cost if under warranty.

The screen of my LG KG810 has COMPLETELY stopped working. Its a very old phone and the hinge has come off. Problem is, my contacts were saved to the handset not on my sim, I need directions on how to save...

It is not safe to do a step procedure without seeing anything on the screen as you might end up with deleting the entire memory. So I would like to suggest that it is possible to obtain a display of the same model-- there are huge stocks of scrapped sets which can be taken from service stores-. Please use a borrowed one from a dealer or a friend , replace your display , copy the entire phone memory to SIM to be transferred to the new phone.
Try even with a LG store which will have phone with damaged motherboards.

My samsung Im pression touch screen is not always there a quick fix for this(ie. battery) or will i need to send it for repair....if it needs repair, what is the cost range?

try to do these steps, and bring your phone back to it's factory settings. make sure to remove your sim and memory card. please take a note that if your phone is under warranty, you may choose not to follow this, hence bring your phone to your nearless service center.
to make a hard reset...
1. switch off your phone
2. remove your battery
3. remove sim and memory card
4. reinsert battery and switch your phone on
5. while your touchscreen is working, type the code
*2767*3855# to set it back to its factory settings.
6. after a successful hard reset, remove battery and reinsert sim and memory card, reinsert battery and switch on and check.
7. play with your phone by doing reconfiguring it to your settings and check.

The touch screen on my env touch won't work at all and it is not cracked or damaged

I'm sorry to hear about your misfortune.

There are many causes for a device such as a cell phone to stop functioning correctly or at all.

Dropping it, getting it wet, design flaw, manufacturing defect...Regardless the only way you could get that fixed is threw a manufactures warranty...check your paperwork that came with the phone. Or if you have phone insurance you might be able to get it replaced.

(Getting it wet usually voids warranty's and phone insurance.)

If neither of these apply to you then you are basically out of a phone and will have to buy a new one. You will have to contact your service provider and have your old number and everything switched to your new phone. If it takes a Sim card just pop it in the new phone and it should work.

Post back if you have any further question's or comments.

Thank you for choosing Fixya!

Hi my samsung D 900 soul drop and its not working im

It all depends on what type of phone you have, and I don't mean which brand. If you phones is a GSM technology phone the it requires a SIM card to work, all of your contacts should be already saved in your SIM card. The same goes for the messages. All of this is possible only if you had save all your contacts and messages in your SIM card, but if you saved your contacts and your messages in your phone, and your phone don't power on, then you lost it. Try the SIM card in another phone that uses the very same band as your old phone, and check in the phonebook, if it shows empty, then all your contacts were saved in the phone.

I dropped my LG Chocolate in water and put it in a bag of rice for 24 hours. Everything works perfectly except the screen, which turns blue when the phone is on. How do I fix this.

If you have insurance on your phone getting it wet will invalidate all warranties and insurance. The only time insurance can be used if the phone is malfunctioning (not from getting wet), or LOST. If your phone is lost, they will give you a brand new one under the insurance policy.

The only piece of a mobile that can go bad when dunked is the LCD screen if it has liquid in it.

1. If you do not want to purchase anything, you can try to remove the lens from the LCD screen and see if any water is between the lens and the lcd. (the lens is the glass that covers the lcd which is usually stuck on with double sided tape.)

2. You can purchase a new lcd and install it.

3. to disassemble the phone follow these instructions:

4. replace the screen, and the phone should be good as new.

No display in my motorazr

Chances are if the screen isn't working (even if it appears white, or a deep blue) the ribbon connecting the board to the screen is damaged. If there is someone in the area that repairs phones (look for someone that installs them that's not a stereo shop or ask your carrier about one) he can probably repair it for $20-$40 with used parts. Your easiest bet would be to file an insurance claim if you have it on your account. Make sure and save your phone since contacts can be transferred at the store (even in this condition) and you can still sync the phone, or use a memory card to save pictures.
